Nikolas Johnson, making plans for the Eagle Project to benefit the pantry

Thank you to all who made Eagle Scout Nickolas Johnson’s toiletry drive such a huge success.  Families in many neighborhoods donated items, which were collected by Nickolas and his fellow Boy Scouts and delivered to the pantry. These items, which we struggle to get, are regularly needed by our families.  We so appreciate the efforts of all.

Personal care items/nonfood items are the most difficult for us to obtain, so collecting these items was the goal for his project. Nikolas coordinated the project with Paw Paw Pack #169 and Troop #169 and Troop #197 from Lawrence.

Please: Donate your nonfood items to a box outside the pantry that Nickolas built!  We currently have only one such box for food. Nickolas’ project will greatly benefit those who need the pantry.

Also, bags with lists of needed items were distributed through neighborhoods and businesses:

  • Rolling Meadows,
  • Brownstone,
  • Woodland Preserve,
  • Burmingham Circuit,
  • Manchester Circle, and others.

Local businesses and organizations include:

  • Bigby,
  • Paw Paw Lions Club,
  • Studio 204,
  • Lawton’s Walgreens,
  • RedArrow Ministries,
  • Culligan Water,
  • Lawton Middle School,
  • Lawton Eagles Club, and
  • East Arlington Baptist Church.

Thank you for participating in this effort!
